Update Letter - March 2023

Dear Supporters and Friends of Echo Lake Bible Camp

We want to thank you for your faithfulness, support, and prayers over the years for the ministry of Echo Lake Bible Camp.

Unfortunately, it is with great sadness that we will be unable to offer a full-time summer of camp ministry this year. We simply do not have the year-round staff base to put together a summer team to provide leadership, mentorship, or proper attention to look after the children that would be entrusted to camp's care.

It is with great anticipation that we seek God's guidance as we navigate the coming summer. We are still hoping to offer some ministry opportunities in August, and will keep you posted as details come together over the next couple of months.

We will endeavor to use this time to recruit team members, raise awareness and support for the ministry of Echo Lake Bible Camp, and work on infrastructure and capital projects that will see the ministry grow and flourish in the seasons ahead.

At this time, we would like to ask for your prayer in these areas:

Missionaries who can fill our permanent year-round staff team.
Creative ways to use our facilities to minister to our community with the resources we have available to us.
Support for labourers and materials to make progress with the capital projects going on at camp.

Back on Track-Summer 2022

After 2 years of uncertainty and restrictions, we were thrilled to open Camp this summer and get "Back on Track." And what a summer it was....

Campers got to experience joy, excitement, community,singing, great food, big games, adventure, and as much Lake time as we could manage.

Equally as important, campers had time to hear about and encounter the amazing love of God, as we looked at God as our Creator, how our lives have gotten Derailed, what God has done to Restore us, and how we can live with dignity, direction and purpose in harmony with Him. A true adventure indeed!

Nothing could have happened this summer without the incredible sacrifice and service of our Summer Missions Team who poured their hearts and lives out to care for, teach, mentor, feed and encourage all of the 295 campers that attended.

It was such a blessing to work alongside this amazing team of cabin leaders, support crew, nurses, cooks, speakers and volunteers, and to part of something way bigger than ourselves; where there was someone with way bigger hands than ours fitting everything together, providing for each need, and encouraging us along the way with truth, strength and love.

What a memorable summer. God is good.
